Leaving PG, we were headed into the Cariboo-Chilcotin region of BC.
Originally aiming for Williams Lake (home of Rick Hansen and BC's Stampede) as our destination, we arrived early enough to check out the local RV park (and give it a pass) as well as to do some shopping at Surplus Herby's (totally worth the stop) before heading to nearby Lac La Hache PP.
At Lac La Hache, we decided to embrace our adventurous side and swim with the snails (i.e., the ones that normally act as hosts for the parasites known to cause swimmer's itch). Enjoying the beautiful lake (quickly) and the provided outdoor shower afterwards (longer submersion time plus soap), we seem to have avoided adding any small hitchhikers to the van.
