After some time inland, we decided to check out one of the famed east coast island beaches.
Driving to Miracle Beach PP, we passed through the twin towns of Courtney and Comox (they looked lovely, we had a sleeping baby).
We arrived at Miracle in time for a swim before dinner. Hitting the beach at low tide, we dropped our beach bag and towels off about 25 feet from the water's edge... and came back 10 minutes later just in time to grab everything before it floated away. Which gave us the chance to try out our trusty clothesline again.
