Sundridge to Chutes PP

Early afternoon on Sunday, July 14 we forced ourselves to leave the warm, welcoming (if a bit sweaty) embrace, and driveway, of our friends in Sundridge and started the "real" part of our journey. Heading deeper into Ontario we breezed through North Bay and took a break in Sudbury to wait out a thunderstorm (thankfully no tornadoes!) before continuing on to Chutes PP.

Thanks to Chutes we quickly learned that neither our GPS nor road atlas actually provide directions to most provincial parks. Thanks be for iPhones.

At Chutes we enjoyed a quick, gourmet, gas-station-provided dinner of hotdogs and cheddar cheese. And toasted our first official night on the road with a glass of bubbly (thanks Miss Bev!).
