Regina - Day 2
Regina - Day 2
It was a quick trip from Walmart to the Saskatchewan Science Centre in Wascana Park. Though we arrived with some confusion (bad GPS directions, an odd set-up for the museum/parking and near Twilight Zone quietness when we did find the right place), the Science Centre turned out to be a total win.
While L was finishing a nap, B had some time to play in the very cool Ukrainian Science Park outside the Science Centre. Later we all enjoyed a demo by Dani on static electricity and a nicely-timed joke about the effects of static on RWs hair.
In search of lunch we tried to hit-up the much-hyped Bushwakker Brewpub but had to settle for buying a couple of their microbrews "to-go" as Saskatchewan liquor laws don't encourage babies in pubs apparently. Silly Saskatchewan. However, RWs disappointment was off-set by the happy discovery of Sawchyk Guitars across the street.
Taking an alternative recommendation of the pizza at The Copper Kettle, we grabbed take-out and ate across the street in lovely Victoria Park with our beer in coffee cups. Classy and delicious. Both the fruit beer and porter from Bushwakker get big thumbs-up.
Having accomplished all our Regina destinations by 4 pm, we decided to take a nap-gamble and head north to Saskatoon via the Louis Riel Trail.
Yup, it sure is flat.
