Salem to Jessie M Honeyman SP (via Eugene)
The Saturday Market in Eugene came highly recommended to us and did not disappoint. We enjoyed some top-quality people-watching while picking up some fresh lemon-ginger kombucha in a refillable growlette from Kombucha Mama. Our kombucha addiction having started in Grand Forks only got worse as the trip progressed. I regret not buying the full-size growler. And that we don't live close enough for regular refills.
After the market, we swung by Voodoo donuts to try America's take on this Canadian favourite. The rather-disturbing flavour selection included: fruit loop, oreo cookie, m&m, maple bacon and cotton candy.
Taking our sugar-highs back on the road, we headed back towards the coast, passing over the Suislaw River via the historical bridge and into the Oregon Dunes. The Dunes being a hugely-popular recreational area for sandboarding (like snowboarding but year-round) and four-wheeler dune buggies.
